Inspiration Friday, Lolita

Every spring I find myself going back to director Adrian Lyne's adaptation of Vladimir Nobokov's novel Lolita. Dominique Swain's costumes in the film are seriously to die for! I fact I'm so crazy about the outfits in this movie that I bought a reproduction of the sailor playsuit last spring! You can see the post of me wearing it here.

Lazy Weekend

Hello darlings! How was your weekend?

Mine was quite lazy I must admit. So lazy in fact that I didn't take proper outfit photos. These pictures are from Saturday when Jonny and I just wandered around one of our favorite little towns. The weather was super hot and muggy, which I love. I'm nuts, I know! To keep cool I wore one of my favorite dresses ever. It's a 1950's Hawaiian dress made of the softest cotton. I could wear it everyday! On another note, I'm learning to play the mandolin! It's so much fun you guys. I'll talk to you soon! xo

Inspiration Friday, Girls Best Friend

Hello lovelies! Today for Inspiration Friday, Girls Best Friend. Dogs of course! I don't know about you, but dogs are my favorite animal. I grew up with dogs and honestly I don't feel quite right when I don't have one. Sadly I don't have a dog right now, but somewhere in my near future is a basset hound puppy! So, I have a bundle of joy with big ears and feet to look forward to :O)

Hello! I hope everyone has had a nice weekend!

Jonny and I did lots of our usual weekend things. Long drives, eating out, and finally swimming in our newly open pool! Though, I must say one of the most exciting things to happen in the last few days is having an American Pickers sighting. We saw Mike Wolfe just out and about taking a walk in the cute little town where he lives! American Pickers is one of my favorite shows, so I got pretty excited! I wouldn't let Jonny go up to him though.. Maybe next time.
