I Found a Castle in the Woods

Not really a castle, but an old military fort dating back to the Civil War. It was such a beautiful day! The temperature reached all of 50 degrees, making it feel like spring. The dress I am wearing is a Christmas present from Jonny. I love it! He knows me so well. We had such a wonderful Christmas. I hope all of you are having a lovely Holiday as well. :o)

A Snowy Day In

In my last post I said I was going to make another skirt, well this is it. I made it out of some vintage fabric I had lying around. I love it!

Today we are having quite the blizzard. That picture with all the snow was taken in my backyard. It's a perfect day for staying inside and drinking hot tea. I hope everyone is having a great weekend! :o)

Lately I've been sewing like crazy. I absolutely love sitting at my sewing machine and stitching away! This skirt is one of the first I have ever made. I made it without using a pattern and am quite happy with it. Tomorrow I'm planning on making another. Until next time....
