A Day at the Zoo

1950s Dress: Retro Glamour
Belt: My favorite vintage shop
Shoes: Target
1950s purse: REALLY going in my shop this week!

The other day was so beautiful Jonny and I decided to take a trip to our local Zoo. It's not the biggest of Zoos, but it's free! It has everything from bears, alligators to buffalo! The above pictures are of some of my favorite cute and cuddly animals. Gosh, I just love flamingos! I'm also very excited to share with you my new dress! A few posts back I said I was trying to save money to buy this dress. Instead I decided to buy myself a vintage dress or two that I wouldn't be able to buy otherwise. I have wanted a 1950s novelty print dress for quite a long time. So, when I saw this one with its little red zebras I knew I had to have it! This sweet little dress lead my over to Retro Glamour and yet another perfect dress! So, I bought myself my perfect novelty print dress and yet another wonderful 1950s dress that you're going to have to wait and see, hehe! In the mean time you need to add Retro Glamour to your favorites on Ebay because her dresses are to die for!

Down On the Farm

Hat: Thrifted
Blouse: Forever 21, last spring
Skirt: UO, two years ago
Socks: Target
Shoes: Fly Girl

One of my biggest dreams is to live on an old farm someday in the hills of Tennessee. Maybe have a horse or two and a cow! A wrap around porch and a hammock. Oh, and lets not forget a couple of kids! I'll hang the laundry on the clothesline and sit in my rocking chair while the children play in the tall grass, hehe. Of course this dream is a while off. I'll be the one to enjoy playing in the tall grass for now. The dream of moving to Tennessee isn't so far off though! Just a few more months. :o)

Lazy Day

Blouse: A gift from Meaghan!
Shorts: Tara Starlet
Socks: Target
1950s Purse: going in my shop tomorrow!
Shoes: My favs it seems, BCBG

Today was one of those days I really didn't feel like getting dressed. I was perfectly content sitting in the yard in my bathing suit catching some rays. I had to go out for a bit so I kinda had to get dressed. Don't wanna run around town in my bathing suit, haha! I'm not going to lie I had a very hard time getting dressed. I put on outfit after outfit not happy with any. It wasn't the clothes fault, just me. Finally I decided on my sailor shorts and off Jonny and I went! I was still feeling blahhh though. It wasn't until I walked into one of my favorite places, a vintage shop, that I felt like me again. Must have been the wonderful warm greetings from my man Dave and a sweet little lady telling me my outfit looked right out of the 1940s!

Anyway, I'm MUCH better now! So, thanks for listening to me vent, hehe!
Btw, doesn't Jonny look dapper in his 1960s Hawaiian shirt and fab 1930s style glasses?! We'll I'm off to take an evening stroll. I hope you all have a wonderful week! Talk soon! :o)

Lula, Lace and Elvis...

I was so excited to receive the new Lula in the mail last weekend! It's just wonderful as always. I also bought this new Elvis biography which is written by George Klein, the guy I met in this video! Only I would put Lula and Elvis together, huh?! Hehe! The dress is something I found a couple weeks ago and it's just perfection. It needs a new zipper so I can't wear it just yet, but I can't wait to show you because it is a stunner! On Jonny and my next date night I plan on wearing it, so I'll show you then.

I also listed some more of my dresses on Ebay today! Including the prettiest Anna Sui for Target dress! If you're wondering why I'm selling lots of my things it's because I'm trying to raise money to buy this dress. Yeah, I kinda need it! :O)
