New Dresses on Etsy!

All of these dresses are going up in my Etsy shop today! I'm so in love with the little plaid one, it's from the 40s and perfect in every way! Also, coming soon I have a couple 30s dresses that I'm altering a little bit. I'm super excited about them!

I've added a $25 and under section to my shop! I'm going to see how I like it, so if it disappears its cause I didn't like it, lol!

Sunday Afternoon

Today was such a wonderfully busy day! Early this afternoon we took my Mom out for her birthday lunch. We ate at a fabulous restaurant right on the water, literally I was sitting about a foot from the water. Our meal was delicious! On the way home we passed this great old farm and decided to stop and take pictures. Once we got home we just relaxed and did lots of nothing! Tonight we went to a Frank Sinatra and Patsy Cline tribute show. It was a blast! I even got up on stage with Frank and a few other ladies and did a chorus line to Frank singing New York, New York! Last week it was an Elvis show, this week Frank and Pasty, next week it's a fiddlers convention and the week after that it's another Elvis show! Such an entertaining start to fall, lol!

Anywho, the dress I'm wearing is a recent find that I plan on selling in my Etsy shop. It's just a tad big on me, so I want it to go to the perfect gal! I hope everyone has had a great weekend!!!

Last Sunday Night

Last Sunday night Jonny and I had a little date. I was so excited to wear this silk 60s dress I recently bought! Our date consisted of going out for a quick bite to eat, then heading to an Elvis Tribute concert, Elvis impersonator and all! I'm not going to lie, it's not the first Elvis impersonator I've seen. It's been quite awhile though, so I was super excited! It's tough being an Elvis fan, when you weren't even born until eight years after he died. Anyway, Michael Hoover (the Elvis tribute artist) was lots of fun! I even got a scarf and a kiss on the cheek. I was so excited getting a scarf from Michael that if it was really Elvis giving me that scarf and that kiss, I know I would have passed out! Anywho, I also met another little Elvis! A 25 yr old boy with down syndrome, who couldn't have been any sweeter! After the concert and a couple rum and cokes later we got some chocolate and took a walk on the beach. A perfect Sunday night date if you ask me?!

1950s Plaid Dress

Now in my shop this adorable plaid 50s dress! This is a tough one to sell ladies! Perfect for fall, don't you think?

Also, in the shop, the softest 50s shirtwaist dress, 60s cardigan and the sweetest floral dress.

Q's Daydreams 1 Year Anniversary!

Well, one year and one day! I can't believe I've been blogging now for one year! This year has been so special for me. Before I discovered blogging, I wasn't sure if there were any other girls out there with the same interest as me. You know, vintage clothing, old movies, old music, the list goes on and on. I've met so many wonderful new friends and I know our friendships will last a long time. Also, this year I've really become so much more confident in myself and all of you have a lot to do with that! Thank you all so, so much for being so sweet and continuing to read my little blog!

So, these pictures just sort of happened. Jonny and I took a walk this morning and along the way picked up the most fun little treasure!

Isn't it wonderful!? A three wheeled bike!!! We bought it for my Moms birthday, which is coming up very soon. I can't wait to give it to her!!!

Have a wonderful long weekend my friends!

10 Interesting Things About Me

The other day I was tagged by the adorable Eve of Smile Because it Happened. I'm usually terrible about doing tags, but this one looked simple enough and quite fun. So, this is for all the wonderful ladies that have tagged me in the past and I never got to put the tag up on my blog. Here it goes, 10 interesting things about me! Anyway I hope they're interesting...

1. Of my 3 brothers and 1 sister I was the biggest baby, weighing in at 1o pounds! Now, I'm the smallest at only 5ft 3.

2. I was on the way to becoming an olympic swimmer. I had a knee injury when I was a teen, so I stopped competing. Though, swimming laps is still one of my favorite things to do.

3. My Grandma and her sisters sang on the radio back in the 30s and 40s. They regularly sang with Danny Thomas.

4. I was in theater and even did commercials growing up.

5. I've been antique/vintage shopping since I was 8 or 9 years old.

6. I spent a good bit of my summers in North Carolina with my Nanny and Papa.

7. I work two days a week doing activities with the elderly. Doing things like bingo, beading and shuffle board.

8. I'm lactose intolerate. Though I do enjoy the occasional ice cream...hehe.

9. My hair's the longest it's been in 6 years! It was super long when I chopped it short. I intend on growing it out to be super long again.

10. I found an old diary of mine from when I was 13 and I said, even back then, that I wished I lived in the 1940s...haha!

Their are so many of you I'd love to hear new things about, so I have no idea who to tag. If you have time and would like to do it, please do! Leave me a comment saying you've done it on your blog and I'll jump right on over to read it! Have a great day everyone!

Etsy Shop Update

Here's a long overdue Etsy shop update! With moving, everything has been super crazy, so doing lots of Etsying wasn't possible! Though, I've found lots of new things for fall, that I'll be adding to my shop in the next few weeks. Lots of plaids ladies!

Happy Tuesday!
