Wonderfully Windy!

These pictures are from yesterday when Jonny and I went to an old Fort near where we live. It was such a beautiful fall day, not a cloud in the sky. It was also delightfully windy right by the water. One of my favorite feelings in the world is my dress flowing in the wind! Just as long as I'm not walking in the city and have a Marilyn moment...lol! My sweater and dress are both from Forever 21, my tights are from the Gap, and I've had the shoes I'm wearing forever. Hope everyone is having a good start to their week! :o)

A Walk in the Woods

This afternoon Jonny and I went for a walk in the woods. I had hoped to shoot a photo that resembled the Scarlett Johansson photo below but...they all turned out pretty bad...lol! You have to give Scarlett credit for that picture because it's not an easy one to achieve. Luckily Jonny shot some other pictures so I had something to put up. Dress is vintage boots are rubber. Hope everyone is well! :o)

Rubber Boots and Vintage Dresses!

I love this picture of Scarlett Johansson not only for the wonderful vintage dress she is wearing, but wouldn't it be nice if we could all spend the day lounging on a tree branch like that? :o)

1930's Hat

This has got to be my favorite hat! I know it seems like I say that a lot, but this one really is special. It's from the 1930's and it's in really great condition. I've always dreamed of having a hat like this-I was really lucky to snatch it up! I found it at my favorite vintage shop. My sweater is second hand and my skirt is from the 1950's. I also found them at the same wonderful shop. I hope everyone has had a great weekend! :o)

Anthropologie Inspired!

Yesterday, in the mail I received the new Anthropolgie catalog, it's absolutely gorgeous! So I was definitely inspired by that today when I got dressed. My outfit also reminded me of the lovely Esme and the Lane Way! The dress I'm wearing I bought a few months ago from Urban Outfitters, my shoes and belt are vintage. I wore these shoes a few years ago when I was in a play called Arsenic and Old Lace. In the 1940's it was a film starring the very dapper Cary Grant. It was a wonderful play to be in not only because it was set in the 1940's, but because it also starred my now hubby Jonny! It was quite nice to have Jonny dressed in three piece suits everyday. Maybe that's part of the reason I fell for him so fast...lol! :o)

Gorgeous Lady!

Need I say more? :o)

Cowboys a fashion influence?

Today I'm not feeling so well, it doesn't help that it's another cold rainy day here. Although, the weather being so bad makes me feel less guilty for not getting out of my pajama's and watching old movies all day! To make me feel a little better I decided to look at some pictures of Elvis. He always makes me smile...haha! As well as always loving Elvis, I've always loved cowboys. When I was little my Mom would take me to see all the new cowboy movies that came out. I remember seeing Wyatt Earp when I was just 8 years old. It was a three hour movie, but I never took my eyes off the screen! I also liked to dress like a cowboy when I was small, I had red pair of cowboy boots and a grey pair(i still have them). I wore them with everything! I guess you could say cowboys still somewhat influence my style today. My favorite boots are my Frye cowboy boots, only they are not red! S0, of course when Elvis played a cowboy I loved it! The top picture is Elvis when he was just 18. The one below is Elvis in costume for the film Charro.
Off I go to watch some more old movies! Hmm, maybe I should watch Charro...LoL! :o)
