Twins!
I can't tell you how much I love this. The adorable little girl in this picture is my niece Sadie, who lives believe or not, hours away from me. When my sister told me she bought Sadie a coat just like mine, I told her she must send me a picture! So, Jonny did his photoshop magic and here it is! I love, love, love it...hehe! :o)

The Girl He Left Behind
The Girl He Left Behind is a movie starring Natalie Wood and Tab Hunter from 1956. I've been wanting to see this movie ever sense I read about it in Natalie Woods biography. That was five or six years ago and I have yet to find the film anywhere! I was reminded about the movie when I picked up a different Natalie Wood biography (i'm a big Natalie fan) at the library yesterday. I excitedly went to netflix to add the movie to my list. Well, it wasn't there. I looked everywhere and found nothing. I had an experience similar to this years ago when I was trying to find a copy of the only Elvis movie I had yet to see...haha. Happily I found that movie when they finally released it on dvd. Hopefully the same will happen with The Girl He Left Behind. Have any of you seen this movie? Until next time! ;o)
" Beat Girl "
For as long as I can remember I've been fascinated by the Beat Generation. I'd have to say that most of my fascination is directed to beat style. In my everyday clothing choices there is definitely a trace of beat style. Whether it be in my slouchy hats, 50's style dresses or all that black. One of my favorite beat movies is "Beat Girl" made in 1959. It's not what you'd call Oscar-worthy, but it's lots of fun to watch! Oh yes, and my wonderful costar is my cat Patsy Cline! ;o)

Summer, Summer, Summer!
Hi Everyone! It has been so cold here these past few days that all I can do is dream of summer. Though it's still a good five months away, I've been looking online at vintage beach pictures and looking for possible bathing suit choices for when summer finally does come. I've always been a bikini girl, but this summer I can't wait to find the perfect vintage or vintage inspired one piece. I bought my first vintage suit when I was 11 or 12. I remember it being too big, especially in the chest area...hehe. I always thought I would grow into it...never happened...lol! However I still do have that bathing suit today. Anyway, I have to say that in the pictures above Audrey's suit is probably my favorite. Though I love the suit Ann Margret is wearing as well! :o)
In the Library...
First I have to talk about the wonderful vintage dress I'm wearing. It comes all the way from Austria. I stumbled upon an ebay store called Bows & Bandits run by two girls named Eva and Sophie. Their store is filled with the most lovely vintage dresses, sweaters, boots, hats, and more. When I saw this dress I was instantly in love! When I received it in the mail it was even better then I'd expected. The dress is like new and fits like a dream! Needless to say I highly recommend checking out Bows & Bandits. Thanks girls!
Today Jonny and I took a Sunday drive. It had been snowing all morning so when we ventured out this afternoon it was a beautiful sight to see. Although it was absolutely freezing! I had hoped to take some pictures outside but couldn't bear the cold. We stopped by the library and I picked up some books that I can't wait to read. All biographies as you can see. I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend! :o)
Fashionette!
Happy Birthday EP! ;o)
Today, if Elvis was alive he would be 74 years old. Every year on Elvis' birthday it's a tradition for me to watch lots of Elvis movies and to celebrate with some chocolate cake. This started when I was a little girl! I must have been 9 or 10 years old when I was home on Elvis' b-day watching an Elvis movie marathon when my Mom surprised me by bringing home a chocolate cake to make my celebration a little bit more fun. Now my Mom REALLY loves chocolate cake, so I'm sure part of her thought it would be a great excuses to splurge, it being Elvis' b-day and all. I do want to state that my Mom was never an Elvis fan, that is until her crazy 6 year old daughter became obsessed with the man! Anyway, just the other day my Mom asked me if I was going to get a cake this year. How could I not...lol! One doesn't break traditions that have to do with chocolate cake, or of course Elvis! ;o)
Ps: Mom, even though you're miles away I think you should have some chocolate cake today too! :o)
I'm still Alive!!! ;o)
This is a picture of Kirsten from 2003, doesn't she look adorable with short hair!? Makes me want to chop mine all off again...lol.
Sorry I haven't been posting too much recently. I have been very busy giving my ebay store a makeover. More on that later....
