I Found a Castle in the Woods
Not really a castle, but an old military fort dating back to the Civil War. It was such a beautiful day! The temperature reached all of 50 degrees, making it feel like spring. The dress I am wearing is a Christmas present from Jonny. I love it! He knows me so well. We had such a wonderful Christmas. I hope all of you are having a lovely Holiday as well. :o)
Sweater: Forever 21
Dress: Anthropologie

Me as a blonde, Elvis & a blog award
This is me at Graceland back in July and Elvis at Graceland in 1957. Get a load of my blonde hair! I'm starting to realize natural is probably better on me...hehe! :o) CLICK TO SEE A FUNNY VIDEO OF ME IN GRACELAND!
Also, the very lovely Saorise of Spider Spin Me a Story has passed me along this fantastic blog award. Thank you so much my dear, I adore your blog! :o)
Blogs who receive this award are "exceedingly charming," says it's authors. This award is a fine one because it focuses not on the glory and fanfare of blogging, but in the PROXIMITY to one another through this online-world. "This blog invests and believes in the PROXIMITY-nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement! Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this clever-written text into into the body of their award.
I would like to pass this award to:
Toni of Bare Peppermint Fashion
Sally of Already Pretty
Blair of A Book of Blair
Dayna of Daily Dayna
If you've already received this award just know your twice as charming! :o)
A Snowy Day In
In my last post I said I was going to make another skirt, well this is it. I made it out of some vintage fabric I had lying around. I love it!
Today we are having quite the blizzard. That picture with all the snow was taken in my backyard. It's a perfect day for staying inside and drinking hot tea. I hope everyone is having a great weekend! :o)
Skirt, made by me!
My two Favorite guitar playin' hunks! :o)
The fabulous Sacaton June has tagged be for "Six Random Things About You." Thanks my dear!

2. One of my favorite foods is lima beans.
3. I've never been out of the United States except for going to Canada for a day.
4. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister.
5. The sport I'm best at is swimming...
6. but you won't catch me out past my waist in the ocean.

Post the rules on your blog
Write six random things about yourself
Tag new people at the end of your post
Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog

I think this is such a fun tag that I would like to tag anyone who wants to do it. :o)
Little Doll
Thursday we had a huge ice storm. It was extremely beautiful, though quite treacherous! Our electricity was out for two days. Having no computer was very interesting...haha. Though, having no electricity was fun for a little while. I enjoyed walking around the house carrying a candle, pretending I was Jo from Little Women...lol! Why grow up!?
Jacket: Vintage from Etsy
Shoes: Fly London
Doll: Shirley Temple Danbury Mint
B&W with a touch of Red
One of my New Years resolutions is to buy nothing but black, white or red clothing. Kind of a silly one I know. My reasoning for this is, black and white are essentials for everyones closet and red is my favorite color. Also, I'm hoping this will help me do less shopping. We'll see...
Speaking of black and white...I LOVE the dress below from Anthropologie! Sadly it's way out of my price range. Who knows, maybe it will go on super sale someday?! :o)

Holiday Inn
I've adored Bing Crosby for as long as I can remember! So today when I had an awful headache I could think of nothing better then getting cozy and watching Holiday Inn starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire. I haven't enjoyed a movie so much in what seems like a long time. The combination of Bing's voice and Fred's dancing is magical. Though I must admit I favored Bing in this film! Holiday Inn features my favorite holiday song "White Christmas" plus many other wonderful musical numbers. I recommend this movie highly, if you haven't seen it already.
PS: Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments on my last post! It was so much fun to do! :o)
Waiting for the Train...
In My Room!
Here is the first picture ever of me in my room...lol! Today is the first day of my weekend so I'm doing some of the things I love most. Reading my Bette Davis biography, drinking tea, playing with my cat, and watching old films. Perfect!
Also, as some of you may have noticed I have been wearing a hat in almost all my pictures. The biggest reason behind this is that I'm TRYING to grow my hair out. I have been longing for a haircut similar to Louise Brooks. I'm telling you all this now so I'm not tempted to cut it all off in the next day or two! Until next time.... :o)
PS: Isn't that first picture of Louise fabulous!?
Ebay
Happy Wednesday everyone! Just letting you all know that I have some new auctions up on ebay if you want to take a peek! I've been ebaying now for awhile, but just recently put up a website that links to my auctions. I hope it works right! :o)
PS: Yes, that lovely red dress is for sale!
At Sunset...
Saturday I spent walking around town drinking tea and and looking in shop windows. On my way home there was the most lovely sunset. I was delighted to discover the most beautiful marshy fields with a wonderful old railroad track. It's a place I will be visiting more often. I hope everyone has had a great weekend! :o)
Jacket: Free People from last year
Skirt: vintage (it was only $2!)
Jonny and My Thanksgiving
This Thanksgiving was a simple one. It was the first Thanksgiving Jonny and I spent at home and our first Thanksgiving as a married couple. Don't let the picture of me in the apron fool you, Jonny did most of the cooking. I did do all the dishes...lol! It was a perfect day!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! :o)
Bundled Up!
On Sunday Jonny and I went for a walk on the beach, despite the fact that it was 10 degrees! It was so cold that I had to break down and wear jeans over my tights (I'm not really a jeans kind of a girl). The one exciting thing I'm wearing is a new vintage coat I found. It's so warm! The hats are from last Christmas.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! To those that aren't celebrating turkey day have a great Thursday! :o)
